Thanks, Mr. Dhamrait. Manjit Singh Saini has done a great job building this website, although I do feel that its content could be improved , especially the section “Saini History” which is basically a blurb from an old controversial website which does not exist anymore. Coming back to the historical issues, I would like to point out that there are many other misconceptions about Saini History which are inadvertently propagated by Sainis themselves. Some Sainis mistakenly believe that royal lineage of Sainis , which is given in Mahabharata and Puranas, had ended around 3 BC They are unable to account for any history in the common era. i.e historical era denoted as AD. This is a big mistake, although a...[Read More]

Mr. Dhamrait and others, There is already a small body of work available on internet on Saini history. If you are academically inclined, you may refer to the following article on Saini Online, titled "Origin of Sainis" http://www.sainionline.com/origin-from-surasenas It is fully backed by citations from peer-reviewed Indian and western scholars of international standing. History of Saini community of Punjab was earler attempted in an academic framework by Chaudhary Shiv Lal in earlier 20th century. He published in Urdu language two volumes dedicated to the subject, titled "Tarikh-i-Quam Shoorsaini". In this work he proved that Sainis are descendants of Rajput rulers of Mathura, Delhi , Bayana and Bharatpur. These Rajputs had originated from Yaduvanshi tribe of Shoorsaini (commonly just called Saini)...[Read More]

Dear Sir, If the information provided by you is true and authenticated, it should be published in a book form an Punjabi, Hindi and English. Moreover, Research Scholars should go through the Archives of ancient history and prove to the world that Saini community has no connection with Mailis whatsoever and they have proved their mettle in every sphere of life, including Farming, keeping their heads high. Keep the good work going. Wish you all the best.

Himanshu, Ashok Gahlot belongs to Rajput Mali community of Rajasthan which adopted Saini last name only in 1930s. Sainis of Punjab do not regard themselves related with this group anymore than local Rajput groups of Rajasthan are related with them. This is a website of primarily of Yaduvanshi Punjabi Sainis who do not intermarry outside Punjab and some districts of Haryana. If you think that you belong to Ashok Gahlot's caste, then this is not the correct website to look for information regarding him. You should look for the website of Mali community to look him up,

Thanks for posting here but there are several inaccuracies in the information you have provided. There already is a lot of misleading info about Sainis spread by jealous vested interests and sometimes by Sainis themselves due to their own ignorance. Hence it is important that your post gets a proper response as it can mislead youngsters from the community.   1) You write : "saini is not a cast .those people lived in soorsaini kingdom called soorsaini and after some time saini."   Response: You are only partly correct. Saini is not a caste but was historically a Rajput tribe (Jati in Hindi) which ruled Mathura and a  radius of 200 miles around it.  In fourfold Varna order, their Varna...[Read More]
