You read him right. There are a lot of BSP agents in Punjab and Haryana these days trying to push the agenda of these lower castes here . This Mr. “Pamma” appears to be doing the same. You will see him talk about Ambedkar and Phule too slowly.
But he makes no sense, if he is a Sikh then why would he have trouble with Saini Sikhs allying with Jatt Sikhs and other Sikh groups? He instead wants them to dump Jatt Sikhs and link them with Malis who have no connection with Sikhism or Punjab.
On other issues, I agree with you. Saini population of Doaba is also mixed. Hindu Sainis go to Gurudwara too and participate in Gurparbs. In the Hindu shrins like Naina Devi, etc you will easily see Sikhs without much effort.
People are generally not aware of differences until policians make it a point to remind them.
More than half of my cousins are Sikhs from both mother and father side of my family, Some of them are Amritdharis too, No force on earth can divide us…blood is thicker than anything else.
In Hoshiarpur, you can even find Hindu Jatts (not Jaats). The famous dacoit Jeona Morh was a Hindu Punjabi Jatt and a great devotee of Mata Ji.
