Guys,

Both Pamma and Anuj are not Sainis but Malis from outside Punjab. This Pamma “Saini” is no Sikh and is not even a Hindu Saini. He is a Mali from outside Punjab posing as a Sikh Saini.

Mali is considered to be a low caste in other states. Because they were ashamed of being called by this name, their leaders adopted the identity of Sainis to be treated with respect and to be accepted for army recuitment which was then based strictly on caste lines. Here is the copy of the official order through which their request to be renamed as Sainis was granted by Maharaja of Jodhpur:

********************************************
ORDER

Jodhpur, the 6th February, 1937.
No. 2240

Subject- Recording of Malis as “Sainik Kshatriyas” in Pattas and Development Department records. Reference- P.W.D.

Minister’s No. 431 Dated 22nd October, 1936

His Highness has stated his personal view that he has no objection to Malis being recorded as “Sainik Kshatriyas” in the

pattas of the Development records.

Mehakmas D.M. Field LT. Col. CIE. Jodhpur.
Chief Minister.
January 23, 1937.
Government of Jodhpur

.

Here is another reference from Census of India report proving that Malis switched their identity to Sains only around 1930-1940:

***********************************************************

“At the time of 1941 Census most of them got registered themselves as Saini (Sainik Kshatriya) Malis.”

-Census of India, 1961, Volume 14, Issue 5, pp 7, Office of the Registrar General, India.

************************************************************

I challenge anyone here to refute these referencs. So these “95% Sainis outside Punjab” are imposters in first place. They are actually Malis, not Sainis.

Despite all these mealy-mouthed appeals to “Sikh Sainis” to consider their “Hindu Sainis of rest of India” as same as them, there is an obvious deception and contradiction in this logic which these trolls are unable to conceal. He further writes. “What is wrong if Sainis are also called as Malis, Gwalas or Baghbans, They still involved in Agriculture”

This again is plain deception and an attempt at laying an uncalled for guilt-trip on the authentic Sainis of Punjab and to fool them.

Here is a question:

If Mali is considered such a dignified word, why did these Malis try to get rid of this identity in 1931 by having their names changed to Saini in official records?

Obviously, they were ashamed of this label and wanted to erase this identity. Now they call on Sainis, who had no history of being Malis, to link their identity with Malis . So a Saini is being asked to make an association with the term “Mali” which the Mali is himself eager to get rid of! Can you see their hypocrisy and duplicity !

They want Sainis to adopt the labels which they themselves are ashamed of. Agriculture in Punjab is engaged in by all Rajput tribes. It does not make them Malis or Jatts. So beware of this logic that is being offered to dilute our identity. Because of this propaganda going unchecked, it has done enormous damage to Saini identity and we saw its consequences in 2009. This deceptive Mali propaganda needs to stop.

No amount of scholarly references and reasoning will convince people like Pamma and Anuj who are blind by choice.

Also, they are cunningly trying to split Punjabi Sainis into Hindu and Sikh. These ignorant people do not realize that Punjabi Sainis are indivisible on these lines. No Hindu Saini of Punjab calls himself Mali or makes any similar association. In matrimonial ads they purposefully call themselves as “Chaudhary Sainis” or “Punjabi Sainis” to distinguish from these post 1930 pseudo-Sainis.

Fateh!
